Project Overview

Developed a comprehensive, enterprise-grade Asset and Liability Management (ALM) toolkit designed for insurance companies and financial institutions. This Python-based platform provides sophisticated functionality for projecting contract cash flows, valuing assets and liabilities, and generating critical ALM reports with advanced risk analysis capabilities. The system features a modern PyQt5 GUI with professional gradient themes, real-time scenario analysis, and comprehensive reporting capabilities.

Methodology

Built using Python with PyQt5 for the GUI framework, incorporating 10-year historical market data (2015-2024) with comprehensive volatility analysis. Implemented advanced ALM methodologies including bootstrapping for discount rates, neutral risk validation, asset-liability matching, and comprehensive stress testing. The system supports multiple maturity scenarios (1Y-30Y) with real-time parameter adjustment and automatic report regeneration.

Results

Successfully created an enterprise-grade ALM platform that provides comprehensive risk analysis and reporting capabilities. The system enables real-time scenario analysis across multiple interest rate maturities, supports advanced stress testing, and generates professional-quality reports for regulatory compliance and risk management. The platform is optimized for portfolios up to 100,000+ contracts with projection periods up to 50 years.
